浓郁多汁的深棕色草药汤，与16种不同的草药一起炖煮数小时，营造出完美平衡的甜味和咸味。 该配方最初是作为过度劳累的苦力的营养肉汤，自20世纪40年代以来已经完善，并且是巴生肉骨茶被放入世界食物榜单的原因。
“Bak Kut Teh”（福建音：肉骨茶）的起源可以追溯到马来西亚南巴生的中医Lee Boon Teh先生。在20世纪40年代，李先生提出了一种炖“Bak Kut”（骨头和肉）的配方，加入了七种中草药。在港口经过漫长的一天辛勤劳动之后，他希望苦力可以用营养草药汤中的一碗排骨补充能量，用八角茴香，丁香，大蒜，当归等香料炖（中国当归）和肉桂。
煮法： 1）半公斤排骨处理干净，排骨过过开水备用。 2）取锅放1800毫升清水大火煮开，烧开之后放入七八粒大蒜，再放入奇香肉茶骨1包，（请勿拆开砂袋）然后再加入少许盐巴，2汤匙老抽，2汤匙生抽，再放入排骨，用大火煮开至15分钟，然后关至中火煮大概一小时。 3）时间到了，汤汁也收得差不多了，然后就加入鸡精，再煮十分钟，即可出锅了。
Cooking instruction: 1) Pour in 1800ml of water and wait till fully boiled. 2)Add in 7-8 pieces of black garlic, 1 packet of Kee Hiong Bah Kut Teh herb pack (do not open the herb pack), little bit of salt, 2 table spoons of Soy Sauce, 2 table spoons of light soy sauce, 0.5kg meat and boil under high temperature for 15 minutes. 3) Continue boiling for another 1 hour under medium temperature, add in some salt to your own preference, and cook another 10 minutes until meat is tender.
